In 2025, “The Smile of the Child” supported 92.799 children and handled 195.282 calls Activity Report from “The Smile of the Child”
Statistical Data from the Organization’s 10 Specialized Action Centers : Every day, 5 children and adolescents contact the Organization seeking help and support.
In a statement, Mr. Costas Yannopoulos, President of the Organization, said:
"Numbers are relentless. But behind every number, there is a child who has been abused, who has a health problem, who has gone missing. In 2025, we supported 92.799 children — that is 254 children every day."

2025 Key Figures:
- Support for 92.799 children, which corresponds to 254 children per day
- Management of 195.282 calls through 6 Hot/Helplines, corresponding to 535 calls daily
- Reports, both named and anonymous, to the SOS 1056 National Helpline and Cyber Tipline Hellas regarding abuse, neglect, etc., for 10 children daily
- Reports and/or support for suicide, suicidal ideation, or self-harm for 2 children daily
- On-site interventions for children in immediate danger, for 2 children every 3 days
- Counseling support for 10 children daily
- Support for 1 child and their mother, victim of domestic violence, daily
- Reports and/or support for bullying to 2 children every 3 days
- Reports and/or support for online risks (cyberbullying, sextortion, grooming, etc.) in 1 child daily
- Reports and/or support for sexual abuse in 1 child daily
- Preventive interventions and educational programs for 140 students daily
- Transfers of 8 children and newborns daily
- Preventive medical check-ups for 22 children daily
- Search for 1 missing child every 2 days
- Coverage of medical needs for 3 children with health problems daily
- Meeting all the needs of 47 children and their families facing living difficulties daily
